What 30 Days of Hormone Yoga Does to Blood Pressure, Sleep and Libido: Data From 50 Men

Peter Bavlsik in a red T-shirt holding and looking at an infographic about 30 days of Hormone Yoga, showing practice frequency and observations on blood pressure, sleep, and libido from 50 men.

Men rarely come to me because they want to learn yoga.

They come because something in their everyday life is no longer working the way they want it to.

One wakes up tired. Another keeps checking his blood pressure. Another tells me that his desire for intimacy has disappeared.

Their questions are different, but one keeps coming back:

“Peter, what can I realistically notice after a month of regular practice?”

After ten years of teaching Hormone Yoga Therapy for Men, I wanted to take a closer look at three things men discuss with me most often: blood pressure, sleep, and libido.

This article brings together records from 50 men who practiced for 30 days.

Who Were These 50 Men?

The men were aged 45 to 71.

They learned Hormone Yoga Therapy for Men at my workshops and through my online course, practicing a 22-minute sequence.

At the beginning, we recorded the following concerns:

Starting Point Number of Men out of 50
Blood pressure concerns 38
Poor sleep 41
Libido rated as zero by the participants themselves 48

The groups overlapped. Some men were dealing with more than one concern at the same time.

Their practice frequency during the 30-day period was as follows:

Practice Frequency Number of Men Sequence Length
5–7 times a week 40 22 minutes
4 times a week 5 22 minutes
2–3 times a week 5 22 minutes
Total 50

These are observations from my teaching practice, not a controlled clinical study. This was not a control group, and the men’s everyday lives did not stop while they practiced.

What We Tracked Before and After 30 Days

The men measured their blood pressure using their own home blood pressure monitors.

We assessed sleep through sleep diaries and messages. We tracked falling asleep, waking during the night, and feeling rested in the morning.

We assessed libido through the men’s own reports of their interest in intimacy.

I also recorded changes in medication, other exercise, or alcohol consumption when the men mentioned them.

I wanted to distinguish between what a man measured and what he personally noticed and felt.

Blood Pressure: Measurements, Not Just Impressions

For blood pressure, I compared readings taken under similar conditions: in the morning, before coffee, and using the same device.

In the group of 40 men who practiced 5–7 times a week, I recorded improvement, meaning lower or more stable morning readings, within just 2–3 weeks.

For the five men who practiced four times a week, improvement came within 30 days.

For the five men who practiced 2–3 times a week, the improvement was only mild.

Please do not change or stop taking blood pressure medication based on your own observations. Always discuss it with your doctor. I would never tell a man to ditch medication prescribed by his doctor. Stopping medication must only be considered in consultation with your doctor.

Sleep: What Happened During the Night?

I tracked falling asleep, waking during the night, and morning tiredness.

At the beginning, 41 men reported poor sleep. During the observation period, however, we recorded the experiences of the whole group.

The most commonly reported changes were:

  • Falling asleep faster.
  • Waking less often during the night, from 2–3 awakenings to 0–1.
  • Less morning tiredness.

In the group of 40 men who practiced 5–7 times a week, all 40 reported improved sleep within 2–3 weeks.

Among the five men who practiced four times a week, all five reported improvement within 30 days.

For the five men who practiced 2–3 times a week, the reported improvement was only mild.

Sleeping longer and waking up more rested are not the same thing. That is why I tracked not only sleep duration, but also how the men felt in the morning.

Libido: What Did the Men Notice?

At the beginning, 48 men described their libido as zero.

For libido, I recorded interest in intimacy and the men’s own assessments.

I tracked morning erections separately from sexual desire. These areas are related, but they are not the same measurement.

In the group of 40 men who practiced 5–7 times a week, all 40 reported increased desire within 2–3 weeks.

Among the five men who practiced four times a week, all five reported increased desire within 30 days.

For the five men who practiced 2–3 times a week, the reported changes were only mild.

The Results at a Glance

According to my records, the extent and speed of the reported changes differed depending on how regularly the men practiced.

Practice Frequency Number of Men Blood Pressure Sleep Libido
5–7 times a week 40 Lower or more stable morning readings within 2–3 weeks Reported improvement within 2–3 weeks Reported increase in desire within 2–3 weeks
4 times a week 5 Improvement within 30 days Reported improvement within 30 days Reported increase in desire within 30 days
2–3 times a week 5 Mild improvement Mild reported improvement Mild reported changes

Infographic comparing practice frequency and reported changes.

The table summarizes the changes recorded in each group. It does not mean that every man had concerns in all three areas at the beginning.

The starting concerns are shown separately in the first table.

Did Everyone Improve in the Same Way?

No. The extent and speed of the changes differed.

In this group, I recorded at least mild changes across all three practice-frequency groups. The men who practiced more often described greater and faster improvements.

For men practicing 5–7 times a week, changes appeared within 2–3 weeks, usually across all three areas.

For the five men who practiced four times a week, improvement came within 30 days.

For the five men who practiced 2–3 times a week, the improvement was only mild.

What These Observations Tell Us

The records show that men who practiced Hormone Yoga Therapy for Men regularly recorded changes in blood pressure readings and reported changes in sleep and libido during the 30 days.

In this group, a higher practice frequency was associated with faster and greater reported changes.

These results confirm what I have seen over ten years of teaching, as well as my own experience practicing Hormone Yoga for Men.

What I Have Learned From Ten Years of Teaching

Consistency matters more than perfection.

For men who are already dealing with problems, it is important to practice 5–7 times a week. The results of the practice then become noticeable very quickly.

If you want to practice Hormone Yoga purely for prevention, three times a week is enough.

What Do I Tell Men Before They Start?

Practice 5–7 times a week for 30 days. Measure your blood pressure under the same conditions. Write down how you sleep and how you feel. Then keep your doctor informed about changes in your health.

After a month, pause and ask yourself a simple question:

“What has actually changed in my everyday life?”

FAQ

What Blood Pressure Changes Did the Men Record During the 30 Days?

In the group practicing 5–7 times a week, I recorded lower or more stable morning readings within 2–3 weeks. For men practicing four times a week, improvement came within 30 days, while it was mild in the group practicing 2–3 times a week. Do not change or stop blood pressure medication without consulting your doctor.

How Were Sleep and Libido Assessed?

We assessed sleep through sleep diaries and reports about falling asleep, waking during the night, and morning tiredness. Libido was assessed through the men’s own reports of their interest in intimacy. Morning erections were tracked separately. These were not laboratory measurements of testosterone.

Did All the Men Experience the Same Results?

Not to the same extent or at the same speed. In the group described, at least mild changes were recorded across all three practice-frequency groups. Men practicing 5–7 times a week described faster and greater changes than men practicing 2–3 times a week.
