I Was Invited to Czech Television to Talk About Andropause and Men's Health

When Czech Television invited me to talk about hormonal testosterone, I knew the conversation would go somewhere real.

And it did.

In under nine minutes, we covered testosterone, libido, erection, the prostate, the pelvic floor, andropause — and we actually practised two techniques live in the studio.

But the presenter also asked about my own story.

And that is where it got personal.

"You Are One of Three Certified Instructors in the World"

The presenter opened by noting that I am one of three certified instructors of Hormonal Yoga Therapy for Men in the world.

Then came the obvious question:

What exactly is Hormonal Yoga for Men?

I explained that it is a sequence of exercises developed together with physiotherapists and doctors, drawing on yoga techniques.

Once learned, the full sequence takes approximately 35 minutes to complete.

Men can learn it through an online course or in-person workshops.

Why Should a Man Practice It?

The next question was simple: what are the actual benefits?

We talked about the prostate, burnout, depressive states, the thyroid, urinary leakage, and high blood pressure.

Then the presenter moved from the general to the personal.

Sixteen Years of Night Shifts and Three Hours of Sleep

I worked night shifts for sixteen years.

In the last three years, I could not sleep properly — not at night, not during the day.

I was getting perhaps three hours of sleep in total.

That took its toll.

I was burned out. I had anxiety. Possibly depressive states.

I barely recognised myself.

And my libido dropped to almost zero.

It was around that time that I met my wife. She was the one who suggested I try Hormonal Yoga for Men.

So I did.

Within a few weeks, I began to notice significant changes.

I could sleep through the night again.

And my libido started coming back.

I have a wonderful wife and children today. Hormonal Yoga was part of that.

Boxing Helped — But Something Was Missing

At that time I was also training boxing.

Boxing helped me release tension. I had a lot of adrenaline and boxing gave it somewhere to go.

But gradually I realised I also needed the opposite direction.

A doctor told me my body was producing too much adrenaline and suggested I try breathing techniques or yoga focused on calming the nervous system.

That was the missing piece.

It was not just about getting energy out.

I needed to learn how to calm the body down as well.

We Practised Live in the Studio

At one point the presenter suggested we stop talking and actually try something in the studio.

I chose a technique focused on the pelvic floor.

How the Technique Works

The principle is simple.

Contract the pelvic floor — the feeling is similar to simultaneously stopping urination and stopping a bowel movement.

The stomach and glutes should not move. Only the pelvic floor works.

Contract. Hold. Release.

The release is just as important as the contraction.

This technique can be used in relation to urinary leakage, prostate issues, prevention, and strengthening erection.

The Exercise Nobody Around You Will Notice

What I find interesting about this technique is that you can practise it almost anywhere.

In the car. While waiting in traffic. During an ordinary day, without anyone around you noticing.

The presenter pointed out that everyone in the studio started trying it at that moment :)

No special clothing required.

What About Andropause?

One of the important questions came near the end.

Can Hormonal Yoga help men going through andropause?

Hormonal Yoga Therapy for Men was originally created precisely for men in andropause.

But over time it became clear that younger men were interested too.

Men with poor sperm analysis results who want to have children.

Men who are beginning to feel a decline in testosterone. In my experience, this is happening to men at younger and younger ages. Hormonal Yoga for Men is not limited to any particular age group.

Yoga Is Not Just for Women

At the end of the interview came what I think is an important paradox.

When a man wants to support his health, most people think of sport. The gym. Running. Boxing.

But yoga?

Many people still associate yoga with women.
